Just when we thought our train journey was over. When approached the Syracuse train station to get off, the platform wasn't long enough for the last car to deboard. We waited for awhile for the train to move forward but they apparently forgot and the train left with 10 people still waiting to get off. They took us to Rome, put us on a return train and now we are going back for a second try.

This is the roomette in the Lakeshore Limited Viewliner.While it is convenient to have a toilet next to your bed, personally I'd rather not shit where I sleep.

Good Morning Buffalo

This morning I woke up in Buffalo to lots and lots more snow than in Chicago. Had a great view out the window from the bed last night in the Viewliner sleeper.
