making the most of things

When you have 20 minutes to kill waiting for someone inside a Target store and you have nothing you need to buy, what do you do? Put something in your stomach of course. These days it is fairly common to find a Starbucks inside a Target, but unfortunately (or fortunately) the location I was in didn't have such a facility. Instead I was presented with a selection of fine foods, including some single serving Pizza Hut pizzas, a variety of grilled tube steaks (that's hot dogs) and some salted baked goods (i.e., Pretzels). It all looked fairly un-appetizing, but when in Rome. Nonetheless I went with a chicken sausage and although it looked liked it had been rotating on the grill for several hours before in landed in my bun, it still tasted decent and didn't give me the usual post-indulgence tummy ache. You know, the feeling you have after letting yourself buy a sausage from the cafeteria in Costco. An enjoyable snack among the sterile atmosphere of a West LA Target.
